Lincoln County School District
We began working with Lincoln County School District (LCSD) to start a district-wide school garden program in 2019. Each year the program grows, expands, or evolves. There is a 10-year expansion and training plan aimed at creating growing spaces to serve every school in Lincoln County. The Child Nutrition program team at LCSD are making impressive strides with local purchasing and serving garden grown food in the cafeterias as well.
Since the summer of 2023, we have offered 12 internships to high school students who have been able to earn stipends for their time spent maintaining and managing gardens in Lincoln County. They have learned basic horticulture, construction, and garden planning skills. Sign up for our newsletter on our home page to get notifications when recruitment opens.

Arcoíris Cultural
Juntos en el Jardín is a partnership between Arcoíris Cultural and The Grow Collective that expands access to culturally relevant growing spaces for Latinx and Mesoamerican Indigenous community members. Since launching in 2021, the garden has grown through the leadership of participating families, creating opportunities to grow traditional foods, strengthen community connections, and celebrate cultural knowledge. After three seasons at Lincoln County Commons, the garden is now in its third season at the Newport Public Library and is currently at capacity with a waiting list.
IHN-CCO
The Grow Collective partners with IHN-CCO to connect eligible Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members with Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) services that support overall health and well-being. Depending on individual needs and eligibility, benefits may include assistance with healthy food, housing stability, utilities, transportation, and other essential services.
HRSN recognizes that health is shaped by more than medical care alone. By helping people access community resources that address food insecurity, housing instability, and other basic needs, we can improve health outcomes and strengthen long-term well-being.
Eligibility is determined by IHN-CCO based on Oregon Health Plan enrollment and criteria related to income, housing stability, food insecurity, and qualifying medical or behavioral health conditions.
